About Aida McGugan

Aida is an American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT) certified teacher who graduated from a three-year full-time AmSAT approved teacher training course.  She's a registered Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist who brings her knowledge of the body’s intrinsic wholeness and subtle healing forces to her teaching practice. 

The tangible difference the Alexander Technique made in all aspects of her life inspired Aida to become a teacher.  

Aida initially took lessons to improve her balance and coordination as a clumsy adult with scoliosis. The skills she learned helped her reduce her scoliosis, realize a lifelong dream to ride horses, thrive under intense stress in a quickly changing dynamic workplace, and fully recover from major injuries including a broken shoulder.  As a former software developer, then manager, for 24 years, she's well acquainted with the demands on busy professionals. By applying principles of the Technique in the workplace she advanced her career winning excellence awards for her team and self.  

Aida is a member of the American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT) ,  its international parent The Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique , and The Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America .
